Reshma Anwar


Reshma was born and raised in Leipzig, Germany. She graduated from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons.) in Dance and a minor in Music Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology in Music, as well as The Ailey School in New York City. During the Summer, she volunteered to teach dance in Jamaica and Haiti. Reshma also had the opportunity to participate in summer intensives, including the American Ballet Theater Collegiate Summer, Les Étés de la Danse in Paris and Ballet Hispanico's ChoreoLab. She interned with Dance Companies, such as Garth Fagan Dance, LA Contemporary Dance and American Ballet Theater. While living in New York City, she had the pleasure of working with Nathan Trice on The Recognizing Women Project and with Jacqueline Buglisi on the Table of Silence. In Miami, she has worked with Peter London Global Dance, Brazzdance, Pioneer Winter Collective and Alma Dance Theater. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at the London School of Economics and Political Science. (reshmadanse.com)
