Liz Ferrer


Liz Ferrer lives and works In Miami and primarily interested in working with and empowering marginalized and under represented voices through a collaborative collage process that takes form in film, video, photography, and performative artwork. 

Her most recent collaborations are with Bow Ty and their collaborations include feminist reggaeton band Niña, new media collaborative LIZN’BOW, and LIZBO Spa Arts and Culture Center.


Liz and Bow are recipients of a an Oolite Arts Ellies Award, Squeaky Wheel Fellowship and Residency 2019, Borscht Film Festival Grant 2019, En Residencia Fellowship 2018, Tempus Projects Residency Fellowship 2018, La Sierra de Santa Marta Residency 2017, ICA Miami education partnership 2016, and Bass Museum Resident teachers 2016-2018. Their work has been featured at Mana Contemporary, Squeaky Wheel, Borscht Film Festival.


Liz is a recipient of Acre Residency 2015, Miami Light Projects Here & Now grant, Inkub8's Resident Artist 2014, Index Performance Artist Fellowship Dominican Republic 2014, Index Performance Artist Fellowship Mexico City 2014 Miami Light Projects’ Jennylin Duany Light Bulb Grant 2013, DDA commission for Dwntwn Art Days 2013, Cannonball's CSA Share program for 2013, LegalArt/Cannonball, curatorial residency in 2012. Her work has been featured at Institute of Contemporary Art Miami, Museum of Modern Art Miami, The Bass Museum, Museum of Modern Art Santo Domingo, and the Museum of Modern Art Mexico City.
