About Grass Stains 2020


Grass Stains is a site-specific initiative created by the Pioneer Winter Collective. Grass Stains cares about pairing mentoring with creative process in order to perpetuate site work that lives outside the boundaries of a traditional space, commission, or expectation. Beyond a culminating performance, it cares about a fullness of experience that focuses on and invests in re/developing site-driven choreographic and multidisciplinary inquiry. In 2020, MDC Live Arts joins us to explore this process, and uncover the practice and pathways of generating collaborative, site-specific work with over twenty South Florida-based artists. 

This gathering of creators work with artist mentor Ana Sánchez-Colberg, in a laboratory setting over the course of one week. The MDC Live Arts Lab surrounding MDC Wolfson Campus (Building 1) will host participating the artists:
